Eastern Eight pays mortgage payments; E8 homeowners rejoice

In most mortgage contracts, the client makes all of the mortgage payments. Eastern Eight, however, wants shake things up.
Eastern Eight's Referral Program rewards homeowners for sharing their homeownership stories. If someone hears about the nonprofit's homeownership program from a former client and closes on a home, Eastern Eight will make one of the referring client's monthly mortgage payments.
"The homeowners I work with are really excited about the program," said E8 Program Coordinator Josh McKinney. "Getting four or five hundred dollars just for telling someone about your house sounds like a great deal to me."
