As many of you know, Eastern Eight has began using a workshop on Lamont Street for all of its education classes. It’s also the place that we store and organize all of our donations for distribution to the homeowners and renters who need them.
Getting all of the donations unpacked and on the shelves can be challenging. We’ve worked hard to get caught up after moving everything to Lamont, but we were still behind. That’s where our volunteers came in - this past Saturday, June 4, a group of nine individuals gave up their time and effort to get everything put where it’s supposed to go, and we are sincerely grateful.
With the help of the group on Saturday, we finally have every box unpacked and every shelf more or less organized. From now on, when we have an individual in need of household items, we don't have to wonder whether we have what they need - we just go to the shelf and look.
Check out the pictures of the event, along with the names of the volunteers, on our Facebook page.
Thanks again to everyone who helped out!
