Rental Opportunities
Attractive, affordable housing doesn’t always mean homeownership. Not everyone can make buying a home work — and not everyone wants too! With more than 50 rental units throughout the region, Eastern Eight still has a housing solution for you.
We also work with people participating in the Section 8 Rental Housing Assistance Program. We welcome applications from Section 8 voucher carriers.
Rental Program Requirements
You must:
- Submit a complete Rental Housing Application, with all supporting documentation. The application must be signed by all household members age 18 or older.
- Provide copies of birth certificates and social security cards for all household members.
- Provide a copy of driver’s license (or other picture ID) for all adult household members.
- Have a primary applicant (head of household, co-head, spouse) that is eighteen years of age or older, or an emancipated minor.
- Be income-eligible.
- Meet all screening criteria, including a criminal background check for all adult household members.

Using a Section Eight voucher to help pay your monthly rent? Did you know that same voucher can be used to pay a monthly mortgage payment as well? That's right - you could buy a home and use your voucher to make the payments! Why rent when you can own a home for the same price or less!?
