Eastern Eight builds homes — we’re proud of our products and our homeowners are too. Though this is the “meat and potatoes” of our business, it’s not the singular focus of our organization.
We are a community development organization and we’ve dedicated much of our time and our resources to rehabilitating homes and reinvigorating communities.
Doing the Job Right
In 2009 Eastern Eight completed 17 unit rehabilitations. We find many of these properties in “blighted” areas, where age and use wear down homes to an almost unlivable state. We rescue these buildings, reviving them for safe, affordable use and renewing the community in the process.
We hired a rehabilitation construction manage in 2009 and with his help we plan to save even more homes and communities in 2010. Through hard work and community partnerships, we will see many of the region’s “blighted” areas become “righted” areas.
